Stephanie Danz, of Mountain Art Glass, creates stained glass pieces of all kinds, from detailed landscape panels to small jewelry boxes. Among her creations are spectacular kaleidoscopes, eclectic window panels, jewelry, treasure boxes and unusual gift items. Incorporated into her art are Austrian and Czech crystals, natural quartz, amethyst and semi-precious stones.

Her unique kaleidoscope creations have recently been introduced to the Japanese market, as well, and are proving to be very popular with Japanese collectors. Through the assistance of the West Virginia Japan Office, Stephanie was introduced to a dealer who is excited about her work and optimistic that other Japanese collectors will be attracted to the uniquely American style of her original art work. She has also participated in a trade mission to Canada, and was recognized by Governor Wise in October 2004 for her first export sales to Japan and Canada.

Apprenticing in a Pennsylvania stained glass studio prior to the move, she enjoyed working with the vibrant colors and unusual textures of glass and realized the unlimited possibilities ahead. Upon her arrival in West Virginia, she established Mountain Art Glass. She is now an Artists' Advisory Board Member for Tamarack and a Poplar Forest Board member.
