Sell YOUR Hardwoods to China!
The West Virginia Development Office and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) invite you to two leading international exhibitions in China for furniture, its components, and wood products.
Export with confidence to one of the largest markets in the world:
- A new Chinese middle class is the most rapidly growing consumer of U.S. furniture in the world. As of June ’08, $3.1 mm in wood frame upholstered seating and $8.3 mm in non-automotive seating parts have been imported. That’s an increase of 156% and 55% respectively over the first two quarters of ’07.
- The demand for furniture components and wood products continues strongly in China too. In 2007, China became the third-largest overseas market for US wood products—primarily hardwood products used for household furnishings. US log and lumber exports totaled $497 million last year, and $330 million as of August ’08.
- China is the third largest export market for U.S. tangible goods as of August. Last year, $65.2 billion shipped—that’s 62% annual growth.
- Our pavilions will be located within the 23rd Home Furniture China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) and Interzum Guangzhou, giving exhibitors and visitors a rare opportunity to interact with a full spectrum of furniture-related companies.
- Southern China is one of the biggest locations for furniture manufacturing in the world, and most of these companies will exhibit or visit the show.
We make it easy:
- Participants receive pre-arranged, branded pavilion space.
- Subsidies for companies from Appalachia increase the value.
