International Division

In order to enhance the growth of West Virginia’s small and medium sized business, the Development Office offers a program of export assistance services. Activities include trade shows and missions to selected markets, counseling, export awards, seminars, and related activities. Also, the Division operates trade offices in Nagoya, Japan and Munich, Germany.

By participating in a Development Office sponsored event, exporters significantly reduce their costs and the time necessary to penetrate a new international market. For both trade shows and missions, companies typically pay a small fee and their own travel expenses. The Development Office coordinates all the arrangements and sponsors the cost of interpreters, booth space, in-country transportation and related expenses.
