RepCom (Monterrey, Mexico) Sponsored by the U.S. Commercial Service, this event matches U.S. companies with potential agents and distributors. West Virginia Participants: J & M Industrial, Cyclops Industries and Terramite. Companies spent two days in the Monterrey area meeting with 4 - 6 potential representatives each day. A bi-lingual market specialist participated in each meeting, and a dedicated car and driver transported each delegation member to their appointment. Companies also enjoyed a networking dinner with senior members of the U.S. Commercial Service in Monterrey.
Trade Mission to Ukraine & Russia (Kiev, Ukraine and Moscow, Russia) Companies ventured to Ukraine and Russia to meet one-on-one with prospective business partners and to explore growing opportunities in these markets. Through the Gold Key Service of the U.S. Commercial Service, companies identified potential distributors, agents, representatives or joint-venture partners, and had 2 days of business appointments in each city. West Virginia participants: FCX Systems, Kanawha Scales & Systems, Appalachian Electronic Instruments, A.L. Lee Corporation.
Interzum (Cologne, Germany) The majority of the approx. 1,300 participating companies from 63 countries reported keen interest in the innovations and gave special mention to the outstanding internationality and top quality of the trade visitors. Over 49,000 visitors from 130 countries browsed exhibits in the caseworks, building and furnishing sectors. West Virginia hardwood producers, including Jim C. Hamer Companies, Rolling Ridge Woods and Spencer Veneer met with potential partners and buyers during the week. The Hardwood Alliance Zone also sponsored a display in West Virginia’s 10X30 foot booth.

Catalog Exhibition (Singapore and Vietnam) Miscellaneous products from several U.S. states were exhibited at this event. MinExpo (Las Vegas, Nevada) This international trade show is held once every four years and attracts mining industry leaders from around the world. More than 20 West Virginia companies exhibited at the show. As part of the U.S. Commercial Service’s International Buyer Program, the companies had the opportunity to meet with potential customers from China, Australia, Brazil, and other countries.
